All employers have a duty to provide a suitable level of Fire Safety Awareness or Fire Extinguisher training for their staff. These courses are specifically designed to provide a basic level of fire safety and fire fighting knowledge for all employees.
There is no formal assessment for these courses. A certificate of attendance will be awarded detailing topics covered.
The courses are designed to be undertaken at the client’s premises or external venue by prior arrangement. Course duration is approximately 2 hours.
Participants will receive theoretical knowledge and given the opportunity to undertake practical fire fighting on various fire simulations.
Participants will gain an understanding of basic principles of fire prevention and fire behaviour; gain practical hands on extinguisher familiarisation.
The course will be delivered by qualified trainers with extensive experience as Fire Safety Officers within the Fire Service. The practical sessions are delivered using gas powered simulators, providing the opportunity to experience first hand fire fighting in a realistic but safe environment.
All Surefire courses are certified and comply with Regulatory Reform Order (Fire Safety) 2005.
